Caro Chico,
I'll type in english so everybody understands us. I'm convinced that it's a domestic web page server, 'cause I have no problems in accessing the main Globo Web Page (of course we know Globo very well here because of the "novelas"

) at
http://www.globo.com/ . But when one tries to access
www.kit.net (which is actually a subdomain of Globo, kitnet.globo.com). The browser (Netscape or Internet Explorer) reaches the URL but somehow doesn't communicate with it. So it makes me think that this web location and its subdomains are only reachable INSIDE Brazil. Aren't your five friends accessing inside your country?
You may try to contact the technical support for this service to be sure of what is happening. The only reason I can find for this policy, is that the publicity (what makes this a free service) is in portuguese, and therefore has no effect outside your country. When you installed your web material, was there in invitation to you to pay for an "extended service"?
Tell me if I can help you any further. I can offer you some temporary space in my web server in the case you urgently need to make some material available.
Um abraço, José.
