Hi Dick,
actually it's an old posting of mine, that has resurfaced. I took the plunge some months back & I ended up with the Audigy 2 NX .I'm very happy with it . I must admit I don't know a great deal about soundcards, but I wanted it for it's abilty to load soundfonts, plus it's quite tiny. I'm more than happy with the sound quality.
