Hi all,
Having owned an i40m which i assume from comments above had a similar VH unit to the PA80 I have to say that the sound that came out of the unit was quite acceptable...quite good in fact. It is however very true that there were only two sttings on the VH ....on and off!
I now own the 9000pro and the harmoniser (again I assume it is the same unit in the 2001), is just as good as the i40m with infinately more settings to play with. Page after page of presets from one extra voice to four part harmony and endless scope to make your own settings as well.
Doug,
I think the VH unit on your board (and to be fair I have never tested it on a 7000) will retain it's title for a while yet

BUT (sorry for the shout there!) a good friend of mine and an avid technics fan said that he heard that Technics were in discussions with Digitech over the possibility of joining forces for the next board much like korg have with tc helicon on the PA X.
Might be an interesting development!
Very Best to all
TonyW
