Glad to hear it went okay....that's a whole lot better than horrible.

I used the Dawn years ago and I know what you mean about the lack of midrange. In addition to their light weight and ease of setup, what I liked was how the satelites dispersed sound to the left and right. (Great for wide, shallow rooms.) But, I thought the Dawn was weak in throwing the sound out into a deep room.

Positioning the satelites behind me, resulted in feedback problems. The best results came from putting them off to my sides and elevated as high as the cheesy stands would go.

Overall, I felt they were substandard for my typical rooms of 200-300 people.
