It's been my experience as a dealer of Behringer products to have excellent customer service from Behringer. If I have a product in stock or owned by a customer and call Behringer on the phone, a replacement is sent out even before they receive back the defective one. Their policy during the first year is to replace, not repair if something breaks down.
I would also be able to give my opinion on comparing the B212 passive speakers to the Peavey PR12. The Behringer handles a lot more power and seems to be made with stronger componants. I've had a few customers actually break the speaker jack right out of the back of the Peavey because the plastic used for the jack and the area around it seems to be a weak spot. My customers have been really impressed with both the B212 and the B215 model and I've not had a single problem.
I would also like to mention that with the amount of Behringer I sell, primarily because of it's lower price points and features, I've had fewer repairs than with any other manufacturer's products. I would also like to remind everyone that the Mackie products of the past, which were all made here in the USA are all now made overseas, either in China or a few products in England. Things have really changed. I remember when Behringer came out here in the USA with their rendition of the Mackie 1604 mixer. I refused to sell it because it was made in China and the Mackie was made in the USA. Many of my customers bought the Behringer model for 1/2 what the Mackie was selling for and thought they made the Mackie in Germany because all their products say designed in Germany. It's amazing today that most of the products I sold 10 years ago made in USA or Japan are now all made in China. It's why I say it's getting more difficult to stay in business anymore with the price points of everything dropping. I just don't get to put enough dollars in the cash register when everything keeps getting lower and lower but the rent, the insurance, etc. keep going up!
