Hi Brian: Just the normal low hiss, but NO electrical buzz or hum at all coming from either of mine. As the problem is only apparent in one of your speakers, and assuming you've already eliminated any possibly of 60 cycle hum coming from your electrical outlet or ground problem possibilities, I recommend you contact the store you purchased it from and/or EV itself, to arranger for a repair or exchange.
