Yes, it initially appeared on M. Friend as a Stupid Deal of the day. I bought one. Then when I wanted another one, they were sold out. 123, who is affiliated with M. Friend, still showed it on their site so I tried to order it and the guy said they were out of stock and they wouldn't have any more. I ordered it via internet anway, and received an email that it was back-ordered. I got it in about a week. Both mics were drop-shipped from the supplier. I think if you just order it, it will arrive in a timely manner. DonM IP: Logged |

Well, Don, I hope somehow I have the same luck ... I ordered it on line and received an e-mail saying it was canceled from my order... I called the number provided and was told the item is no longer available  ....Do you have info on the supplier? thnx, t. IP: Logged |

They must really be out of them this time. When I ordered they said it was back-ordered, not canceled. Sorry about that. BTW, I tried eight different mics tonight plugged into the Roland E80, including: Shure SM58, Sennheiser 855, Samson Q7, CAD, Astatic CTM-77 Condenser, AKG D870, and Samson R11. It was a close call between the AKG D870 and the lowly Samson R11, which you can get for around $30. each. I really think the R11 worked better, partly because the signal is so hot. The CAD also sounded very good, very similar to the Q7. The SM58 was the worst of the batch, and except for the Sennheiser, the most expensive. I'm not saying one of these is better than the others, just saying it worked better for me under these circumstances. DonM IP: Logged |

M123 accepted payment from my PayPal account and said the mics would be shipped on Nov 4th. That didn't happen so I called and the CSR said they were Back ordered and should ship by the end of the month. Then I recvd an email today confirming the BO status and the probablility of a shipment by end of the month. Ron IP: Logged |

Update! UPS delivered the CAD D189's today and they're every bit as good as DonM described them. Rich, full sound with plenty of punch. Now I know what engineers call "Proximity Effect". As the distance to the sound source decreases, the bass sensitivity increases. Thanks Don for the recomendation. RonP IP: Logged |
