Quick question; when you got your Presonus Firebox, did it come with the S/Dif + midi cable for the DB9 connector on the back or do you have to buy that extra?

Thanks,
Tom

Tom: Yep, The Presonus Firebox comes with a model #DB-9 MIDI/SPDIF I/O integrated breakout cable, of which includes 4 breakout cables: 2 for midi in/out & 2 channels of S/PDIF. The S/PDIF I/O allows the Firebox to receive and transmit audio from/to other digital audio devices. The S/PDIF standard allows for two channels of audio to be transmitted at up to 24/96. For more details on the PreSonus Firebox, here's a link to the manual: http://presonus.com/pdf/fireboxManual1.0.pdf

Btw: I continue to really love this plug-play firewire unit: Great sound, solid construction, SMALL (as TomCat himself testifies: bigger is not always better), yet includes all the essential control features, yet very simple to operate. In addition, the technical support provided by PreSonus is unsurpassed. What more can one ask for? - Scott
