I had a pair of EV covers that are made for the SX300, and I tried them on the SXa100 just for kicks. They STREEEETCH over the body ok, but the heatsink fins will definatly cut them with any kind of friction. I wouldn't recommend these covers. As a great alternative - The covers that Mackie makes for the SRM450's work great - they are a little big, but the excess fols in nicely when it has too. Greta handles, pocket, and a flip up lid to access the side hande on the EV - works PERFECT. IP: Logged |

I ordered a pair of the SX ZB's yesterday from a local music store that I didn't realize was an EV dealer. The pair will cost me approx. $165 with the tax. They should be in next week... Angelo IP: Logged |

Angelo, $165 for SxA100 speaker covers? WOW, That's more than 1/3 the cost of a single EV speaker. Please let us know how they work out and if you think it's worth the $ or not. If you really like them, I guess I'll seriously consider getting a pair for my EVs too. Thanks. - Scott IP: Logged |

Scott - You know something? I said the same thing, but paying a grand for a pair of light-weight speakers kind of forces me to make sure they are transported as safely as possible. (Originally, Sam Ash quoted me $99.99 each! At least this is a little cheaper, right?) Angelo IP: Logged |

They are really made for the UNpowered line of SX speakers. I think you'll tear them up in a few uses with those sharp fins of the heatsink. They are way too tight to stretch over the fins. At those prices ... get a custom made bag or the Mackies instead. IP: Logged |

UD, Supposedly, they're made for the SxA100's, or so the EV rep told me. Hope they'll be okay. IP: Logged |

I hope he's right, because I almost ripped them the first time I tried to put them on. The fins really push out the back of the vynal and it's unnaturally tight. I believe it will DEFINATLY rip the fabric. Make sure you have a return possibility ! IP: Logged |

You know .... in all fairness - I never really noticed the model number of the covers I tried. They each came in a white box with EV logo's all over it, and I never read themodel number. My dealer guy just sent them as per what I asked for. The sx300 and the sxA100 have the same size outer shell, but those darn fins stick out past the side of the unit. That's where the differance lies. It was a real chore not to rip them in the first trial use ! Beware ! IP: Logged |

I have a call in to the dealer as we speak. The EV brochure (SxA100 powered series only) I got the number off of has a picture on the bottom and the quote is "Two SxA100s (shown in their optional SxZB tote bags) easily fit in the trunk of a car. The tote bags have extra room for audio and power cables." However, I will be cautious, UD. Hopefully, the salesman will return my call soon. The problem is none of these places have the covers in stock. They all need to be ordered. Ughhhh!! Angelo IP: Logged |

Angelo, It sounds like you have a dedicated product, and NOT the one that I tried. Mine have NO pockets. Sounds like your dealer has a better grab on things than mine does. Good luck! IP: Logged |

UD, Thanks for all the info. I will advise when I get them. I always appreciate your advise and always take it very seriously. You're truly a good friend. Thank you again. Angelo IP: Logged |

So............. tell us about them ! Are they worth it ? Do they have a lot of "baggy" room or do they fit snug, and have pockets like the brochure says ? IP: Logged |
