For ages, I have had a great collection of styles I know you people would like. They are all equal or better than factory. The problem has been that I had no vehicle to share them. I finally got up to speed and opened an account at 4Share.

Rikki had posted some styles she converted to Korg and I converted them to KN7000, and posted them. This is the link to her styles.
http://www.4shared.com/account/dir/27801236/92d1eef2/sharing.html?sId=GJ6WcHuv0zw3LIG6#

If there is any interest, I can post some of my styles. It would have to be in segments, as there are several hundred.

If there is enough interest, I will assemble some and post them on 4Share(above link). I know the KN7000 can read KN6000, but not very well the other way around. At least that is what I have read.

I downloaded Rikki's styles and they sound great. Thanks for posting. I assume great interest if you have more to post.
BTW: styles 05 and 06 in Rikki's zip-file are same.

Tell you what, I'm not keeping a list, but I will post new styles from time to time in categories. Since I don't know when I'm posting, neither do you until I post it here. While you are here, you can say hello or otherwise contribute. This way we can be more active. Sneaky eh ? I will make some time soon, though.

What a lovely man you are Bernie.

Anyone who can convert the Technics patterns and Styles to play on other instruments, has got to be a STAR!

Are you open for suggestions? If you are, there is a style that seems to be a favourite with almost everyone I know who has a Technics and this style lends itself to quite a few quicksteps, foxtrots, comedy and show tunes - its name is:- SUNDAY NIGHT.

If you could convert it to play on the Tyros 3, I would be willing to pay you for your trouble as it is such a good, jolly, versatile style, it would be worth it.

Here's hoping..... Audrey

Audrey,

I have Technics 6500 and 7000 and don't recall any style called Sunday Night. What is it listed under?

Thanks,
Mary

Hi Audrey
Actually, EMC Universal is the star, but thanks. Since you have been such a loyal contributor for many years, I would be happy to convert it to Tyros and post the original for others. Just send it to me as an attachment.

Hi Fran,
you're more than welcome to share with who ever wants them.

Interesting that they're converting quite well to Roland also.

Are you converting from PA800 format or from Technics?

best wishes
Rikki

I have a Converter Disk that came with my KN7000, details below:-

GEM.CNV
KORG.CNV
ROLAND.CNV
SOLTON.CNV
TECHNICS.CNV
GEM-WS2.CNV

I have used it to convert the Roland styles to play on the KN7000 but, not the other way around.

I know nothing about programming etc. but it would be a logical explanation as to why the Roland is happy to play the converted KN7 styles.

Hi.

The Convert Disk supplied with the Technics keyboards can only be used 'onboard' and
does only convert to Technics format by use of the keyboard.
Also you see that Yamaha style format is not supported in the Convert Disk. If this
is because of copyright issues ot other reasons I don't now.
Anyway, EMC Styleworks XT Universal do convert both ways, and support about all brands
and models there is.

Happy Converting and Playing
