My Kurzweil 2500XS has some sounds that crackle. If I press down on many piano keys at once it usually goes away. Also, sometimes get bleedthrough of drum sounds or other sounds when the distortion is occurring. Can anyone help me?
Do I need to reinstall the sound discs?

Your Kurz seems to have an insulate contact somewhere inside. If re-installing your sound disc doesn't help then it seems to be closer to be a hardware problem.
In some cases it's helpful to clean the inner boards from dust and to press the ICs into their sockets (Force it carefully! And don't touch the pins!). Make sure that all cables are right connected!

If all fails then you may try it here: Sonik Matter!
Good luck on your quest!!!
