I just got my 550 about a month ago. I was really struggling with a way to read and write the sample disk images. Both Sdisk and Samdisk gave me all kinds of hell and I hated running them in DOS or a DOS window. So.I found a fun little app that works in Windows. I am using it in Windows XP right now, but I am sure it's work with any Windows. The app is called Floppy Image. I am attaching a zip file that contains the .exe and appropriate documentation. The interface is easy to use. The program will only read and write .img and .imz files. However, all that you have to do is rename any standard .out file or .sdk file to a .img file to write it to a floppy. The opposite is true for reading. Just rename the resultant .img file to a .out file. I hope you all enjoy this little app as much as I do. Make sure you give the author some props if you use it. There is a built in feedback mechanism under the help menu. If you can't get my attachment, I downloaded it from download.com Happy sample-sharing. It's an .exe and will ask you to extract it to C:\Windows\System. I use Virtual PC for Macintosh and when I first format the new DD floppy as DOS and then write the img. to disk, it will not read by the S-550. On the other hand, if I format the disk within the S-550, after 360K of writing, I get 'Failed to write sector (error 1032)'. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Maurits
