Roland D10/20 Hidden Features
Warning: Do at your own risk. Any of these tests may wipe out the
contents of the internal memory. Backup up everything before
experimenting. This is not official Roland information.
Turn on power while holding down these buttons...
- TUNE/FUNCTION + WRITE
- Initialize D10/20 to its "out of the box" state
- EXIT + EDIT
- Puts the D10/20 into Diagnostic mode.
- EXIT + EDIT
- Memory Test
- EXIT + TUNE/FUNCTION
- Controller Test, shows bender value, etc.
- EXIT + MIDI
- Keyboard test, shows key and velocity
- EXIT + COMPARE
- D/A adjust and PCM test. Band buttons play PCM sounds for D/A
setup.
- EXIT + ENTER
- Lamp Test, all the lights blink
- EXIT + WRITE
- Not sure what this does, seems to darken the display
momentarily...
- EXIT + DATAXFER
- Not sure what this does, seems to light the entire display
momentarily.
- EXIT + PERFORMANCE/MULTI-TIMBRAL
- (D20 only) Floppy Disk test
