No its not that simple... an arranger is an awesome tool even on a piano...and `yamaha realises this... numbers and the piano app proof so...

Most piano players have something in common with the majorrity of arranger players. Most play only at home.

As said, Yamaha is adding an arranger part to more and more of their piano’s. With time this arranger part will become more and more important.

as you say most play at home so what is the difference using a controller 88 of yOUR choice and any modules, Pc programs to generate the backings....much more flexibility then an all in one 88 that will because there is already home versions eg: CVP line etc..

The feel of playing a real instrument vs making computer based music? Yes, the different feeling is that huge, and you know it..

Thats your opinion... and a very valid one...
However, i think its clouding your vision on 88 key arranger..

Still comes to me as, i don't need it, so why would anyone else want/need one?

I'm an arranger KB player NOT a Piano player plain and simple is my answer.
88 keys does nothing to benefit my music in any way shape or form.

I've been told to "never say never"... in this case, the odds are highly improbable that Yamaha will make an 88 key Arranger of any description... unless there are significant monetary forces in play. For my purposes, miserable hands with little tactility or sensory feedback, being nothing but a song creator, a twenty key arranger would suit my purposes very well. I only play chords with my left hand and push buttons, etc. with the right. LOL!

I don't have a "Dog in this Fight" but I understand the desire of many of you real players to possess an 88 key Genos. Good luck, my friends.
