Saw this one before (there are so few YT videos up for this instrument) but I doubt if there is much interest in such a dedicated (one trick pony) instrument at this price point. If I didn't specifically want a Rhodes (clone) I'd probably go for this:

Another demo.

In fact, I'm thinking of getting this anyway. I just need to install a larger SSD in my studio computer. Greg P. is a monster player but those of you knowlegeable of the recording industry already know that. He's also a very funny guy with a lot of personality.

Bachus, if you're listening; your thoughts on the Keyscape Spectrasonics Collector Keyboard package.

Where it comes to recording sound quallity nothing beats keyscape...

But... yes sthere is a but...

Modelled instruments like in the Seven, or my Genesys module, or pianoteq... feel more like a real paino then a sampled instrument like keyscape... its something you must feel.. but a modeled instrument has infinite nuances. And altough the sound might be a tiny bit less authentic then a sampled instrument, it feels more like the real deal when playing it...

Same goes for the VB3 of this company.. thats probably the best sounding B3 emulation..(crumar mojo)

Does that make Sense?
To me it does, amd even tough my playstyle has its limiitations, its just more fun to play emulated sounds...

Thanks Bachus, yes it does make sense. The SEVEN's user manual makes the same point. Plus, I can actually 'feel' the difference between the modeled instruments and the sampled instruments on the SEVEN. But.....for the money, that Keyscape package seems like one heck of a bargain, especially if you already have the computer hardware to support it. I have two cheap 49key controllers, including the Alesis Vx49, but would like something larger (76 would be enough, don't really need 88). I have an old Roland A70 but would need a 5-pin to USB to use it and don't know if the velocity curve on such an old controller would be compatible (or if it can be adjusted - have to check the manual) - love the keybed on it though plus it can control up to four different midi devices. We'll see. Thanks.

Actually the strong point of Keyscape is that you can use those sounds in omnisphere, and take those sounds to the next level of synthesis.. thats creates some incredible new fresh sounds... less authentic, but with their very own character... this is where keyscape shines..

Personally i stepped away from midi keyboards, as my kronos offers so much more and beats all those midi keyboards in functionallitty..
