A friend who had worked at the German US embassy years ago told me to check out on a German singer named Heino saying that he was very popular. I told him that even German love songs sound like military march!

I watched one clip and thought to myself, "It doesn't matter how good or bad you are on a keyboard. You need a backup of an arranger for this kind of stuff. They sure like their oom-pah bass.

Btw, my friend is originally from Texas. A lot of German settlers there, and the German accordion had a big influence on the Mexican musicians, leading to the birth of the so called Conjunto/Norteno/Tex-Mex music.

Now, here's a quiz; does anyone know why Tex-Mex music is slower than German polka?
