Nice machine, but it's bigger, bulkier and 6-pounds heavier than the Tyros4. Wouldn't want to haul that monster around every day. wink

Cheers,

Sorry Gary, but that's not correct, it is lighter than the Tyros 5 61 key model!

Pa3Xle 76 weighs 30lbs. Tyros 5 61 weighs 31lbs, 76 35lbs.

Of course the Tyros 4 is a little heavier again at 32lbs.

Graham, I was comparing it to the T4 - not the T5. And, the site I looked at had the keyboard at 38 pounds, 14.5 kilos. The T4 is 32 pounds. Either one is too heavy for this old codger. I'll stick with the S-950, which is much lighter than both of them.

Now, I will admit, the keyboard sounded very good, especially the sax sounds. The organs were OK, the piano was about average, and the price tag I saw was $3,800. I could purchase enough fuel for the boat to motor to the Bahamas with that much money. wink

Cheers,

Gary cool

Must have been a typo. It's 13.5 kg or 30 lbs. I think that's a pretty good weight for a 76 key board. Here's the link to the official Korg specs

I think Marco Parisi could make a kazoo sound good! smile

We had a concert tonight at our Opera House. A fellow provided the P.A....a large JBL system.

When he placed a set of speakers on the sub unit, I watched him struggle and asked him what the unit weighed...the answer: 160lbs. But he said I only lift that a couple of times a month.

I didn't want to tell him that I struggled to carry a JBL 515XT at 33 lbs.

Guess I am getting old.
