EPS/ASR scale data function - 12/29/98 02:09 AM
I have owned an EPS classic for 7 years now- and can confidently say that I am an expert on the EPS/ASR sampling engine- however the scale data function still baffles me- on my machine whenever you set either the start adress or end above 6 db- it just changes the wavesample to white/pink noise- below 6 db has no real effect
given the structure of the parameters- I would assume that this function does more than simply turn wavesamples into noise- I've often wondered if my EPS's scale data doesn't work properly (seems unlikely- I've changed the O.S. several times through the years- and this function is a software generated process- not hardware)/ possibly the kind of samples I use (drones- noiseshapes) or the sample rate (usually below 25 khz) has something to do with it- any ideas?
