If you're using a Macintosh, get a hold of D Sound Pro. This is a terrific shareware program which lets you read/write .WAV and .AIFF files and transfer them to your sampler using either SMDI or standard MIDI Sample Dump. It also provides direct support for a handful of samplers. I believe it's available from the Synth Zone Samples page. I'm not too current on Wintel equivalents but, you'll probably get a good lead from the Samplers page.
