Casio WK3200 info needed - 03/20/06 06:18 AM

I'm looking for an arranger keyboard in the range 400-700$. I'm familiar with the Korg i-series and I wonder if there is a model of arranger keyboard in this price range having sync stop button .While running the drum pattern, I like to play the bass part with my left hand (in order to avoid the monotonous automatic bass) and my right hand is for soloing. Casio WK 3200 seems to offer so many great fetures for the money but it is not clear from their manual whether this split playing is possible while automatic drum patterns are running. Are the sounds really that good (I need especially good quality drum and bass while I'm playing live with the guitarist). Also, what is the quality of the sound coming out from the same line out /phones jack when amplified?Isn't the phones out signal too strong for feedeing into a power mixer? Thanks

I have the wk-3000...but basicly the same for this question. Yes, you can run the drums, and split the keyboard...and play the bass part. You need to turn off the accompanyment...so you would be playing everything but the drums. The other option is to play along with SMF files you create (leaving out the melody and bass part)...that you add 'live' to the mix. Still another option is to use a rhythm pattern you design to play with...using the variation buttons to control the accompanyment ( too hard to explain here).

The volume level of the headphone jack output is adjustable and can be amped just fine. I use the headphone jack into a Roland Kc-300 amp, with no problems.
