Casio PX-555R Instrument Definitons for Cakewalk?

Casio PX-555R Instrument Definitons for Cakewalk? - 02/23/06 06:55 PM

Anyone know if these exist anywhere? I'm using Cakewalk Sonar 5 and would love to be able to control the sounds in the other banks. Just don't want to go through the rigamaroll of having to create my own instrument definitions. Definitely time-consuming. Thanks.

I don't have to worry about it now. I took the time last night to create my own instrument definition. Pain in the keister, but it's done now. I ended up using the manual for the PX-400R to find out all the specific numbers for the extra banks. So, if anyone is interested in an INS for either the PX-400R or PX-555R, feel free to let me know. There might be some extra configurations that are needed too, but all the patches work.

Thanks for the very kind offer rackster and for your hard work. Can you send them to me at nigelsp@synthzone.com and I'll put them on Synth Zone so other users can find them.

Done! Again, if anyone finds errors or other modifications that help this INS file work better with the 2 PX keyboards, let me know. Or let me know if you find a better way to map the banks. Seemed kind of haphazard to me.

I got your file and I have put it up in http://www.synthzone.com/midi/casio/PX/ so other PX users can try it out themselves. Thanks again for working so hard on this.
