Alesis Serial cable compatible with Roland JV-1010??

Alesis Serial cable compatible with Roland JV-1010?? - 02/03/01 09:36 PM

I just bought a Roland JV-1010 and was wondering if the Alesis QS 6.1 serial cable
I have (8din to 9pin) will work so I don't
have to buy another cable?
I no longer have the manual, so I would appreciate any information.

yes they are the same cable. alot of synths use them (alesis, roland , yamaha, korg I think) I have a QSR a 6.1 and a roland 1010 and I use the cable for the 6.1 and the roland with my 2 stock serial ports. The roland serial driver works with only the roland and not the alesis.
