Good work, Rikki!

Let me open with this topic and an item of interest.

Costco Warehousing in US has in stock at some stores the "Gigabank I/OMagic" accessory PC USB storage unit for $120. EIGHT gigabytes of storage -- it's not a flashdisk, it is a teeny weeny hard drive (from the Ipod heritage I powered solely from the USB connection. About the size of a Zippo cigarette lighter. And about half the cost of a FOUR gigabyte accessory USB thumbdrive/flash disk. I bought one -- it works flawlessly under Xp PRo and Home.

Another option to having all your music files on a separate disk for transport and safety.

Thanks Cajun,
storage options have certainly gotten cheaper.
About 4 years back , I was paying $64 AUD for a 64mb sd card for my Technics Keyboard.
Bought a 1 gig sd card recently & paid $79 AUD.

Must check & see if Gigabank storage is an option over here in Aust.

I've been backing my files up on DVD disk, but I've ended up with the occasional faulty disk, which is a bit of a worry.

thanks cajun

best wishes
Rikki

I realized after posting this in my mind as a "subtopic" that individual topics, not long threads, work best here. So I will do that in the future, such as:

"PC memory trends"
"solid and disk drives"
"M-Audio Oxygen 49 keyboard"
and so on. Should make scanning items easier.

These topics will all be softsynth related so not to go too far OT.
