adding new sounds

With a synth based keyboard (equipped with a floppy drive) - is there any way to install a new sound that originates from a sample? In one sense this seems impossible - but in another sense - since (I think) the keyboard comes with both sample originated and pure synth sounds - maybe this is possible. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
