Roland mc505 sequencing with Project5

Hi all Newbie alert. My old mc505 is on it's last legs and I would like to keep it as a sound module or sequence it using P5 but any information regarding using it with a pc sequencer is very dated and totally confusing anyway.
Does anyone have any info, either using the 505 with a different DAW or another hardware synth with P5?
