duplicate midi notes?

Help.... I have an XP50 and G4 w/ digital performer and am getting duplicate midi notes. Any ideas? How do I check and see how many midi channels are coming out of the roland? I think that it needs to be one..

I do not know digital performer. But I will try to guess. Do you have an option in DP to disable midi thru? If so, can this be the issue?
