Using proper Reverb/Chorus/Delay values - 03/22/05 01:25 AM
OK, so my MIDI file is complete with brass, reeds, strings, piano and percussion.
QUESTION: Sending information to my synth (SC-8850), what is the best values for Reverb/Chorus/Delay to enable the best possible "realistic" type sound.
Currently, I set:
Reverb (91) = 88
Chorus (93) = 48
Delay (94) = 8
Is there an "optimized" approach to this? I suppose it does matter what instruments, but for now I just apply the same value for everything.
Are there any other ways (controllers) to enhance the sound?
