Akai S3000XL HELP!

I can't load OS v2 on my akai...I keep getting the error message - 'different floppy disk format - retrying' and then it tells me 'unreadable format or unformatted'
Anyone had this? Anyway to fix it? The people at Akai no longer support this product!
