tyros 4 multi pad synch

I have been playing the tryos 4 at my local music store and noticed that the multipads were out of synch with the accompanyment (tempo different than accompanyment)
Is there a way to make them synch together?

I set the keyboard to NOT change tempos when I changed accp.
(since each accp has its own tempo)
Is this going to prevent the multi pads from synching to the acp? (it only will synch to the pre-programmed rate?)

I have not notice any out of sync with the Multi pads.
Think you made a diff beat choice,a3/4 dont fit t a 4/4.

I believe the Multipads can be edited to suit your needs.

Unfortunately, not much is said about this in the 'User' Manual, but it does refer you to the Yamaha website where you can download the Tyros 4 'REFERENCE' Manual. Pages 77-79 describe in greater depth how to change these pads using the MULTI PAD CREATOR.

Further to the above, I wondered whether you know the pads are different by design, in that some play continuously, some only once and others are completely different (even perhaps, a little off key) particularly the 'Sound Effect' pads. I guess it depends on the tune you want to use them with.

I was using the factory sounds of the pads...I noticed when I had sounds that looped, it was out of tempo with what was playing.
the fellow at the store seemed to not know much about that problem.
I found a link to the manual on this site (acutally, external to this site(google), but it pointed to a link on this site. the instructions for the pads mention nothing about synching tempos.
I am tempted to wait for the tryos 5

Some will sync better than others. Also non OTS Multi Pads may not sync immediately.
