psr s900 hard drive vs data card

I am brand new to this very informative site. I plan to upgrade to the psr s900 and would like to know if it is important to have the hard drive in order to compose using the on board16 track recoder? Also, without the hard drive is it possible to do the same with either it's built in memory or data card? Thanks for any advise... -donooch

I'm not a S900 owner but I would have thought it is irrelevant whether you have a hard drive or not. The connection is external by way of USB and I would think a memory stick would be more convenient.
