foot controllers for T2 ? - 10/28/06 08:04 AM

Hi folks , I'm looking for some advice please .

As a midi accordionist , I would need foot switches to control various functions on the T2 .
expression foot pedal
start /stop
intro 1 /ending1
intro 2 /ending 2
fill in going up
fill in going down
panel memory changes

Are multipedal foot switches available ?
Any one using foot controllers ?

Hi Giovanni,

I even have 2 MFC10's. One for a permanent position under my keyboard at home and one for if I perform live. Right now I have OTS 1, 2, 3, 4 on buttons 6, 7, 8 and 9.
Button 0 turns harmony on or off.
Buttons 1 to 5 are for the variations and breaks. I'm happy to say that I don't need it that often any more then when I started a few years ago, but especially with live playing it's nice to have "some extra hands" to do breaks and fill ins.

Giovanni:

Quite a few members do not use the mfc-10, not seeing the need for it, but myself I think it is terrific and can't see how anyone can deny all the many many things it adds to your playing, some impossible to do without it. I suspect they have gave up on geting it programed, do to the almost impossible task of following the manual that just dosn't get the job done, without a a great deal of time and effort. It took me a week fooling around before I got it using the manual, yam tech support and finally getting the hang of it. (I wrote down the process and saved. so anyone care for a copy of how to really get the mfc-10 set up let me know and I'll give you a copy of how I do it.

The mfc-10 can do scads of functions for you and remembers using a template saved into your ty2, you can make many templates having it do various functions on each and these can be put into different registrations for various songs, etc. ( althought I only use one set/up to keep it simple)
My set/up that I use is below..

Pedal....controls volume of R1
(This alows me to punch up the lead
or diminish for vocals)
1...variation down

2...fill (sustained hold down adds lots
expression to the song)

3...Variation up

4...break (Sustained hold down give lots of
possibilities for jazzing up a
song)
5...transpose up

6...turn lyric page up

7...turn lyric page back

8...stop start

9...Transpose down

0...vocal harmony on/off

There are a lot of choices on the tyros 2 that you can use, so ever what you need to push with you finger can also be done from below.

I guess us guitar players and organists come natural to use these tools, and can understand that some just are not used to using their feet.

Bert: I would like to also have 2 of these, one for the studio and one for the road, just waiting to find a cheap used one for sale thats in good condition. Currently have hard mounted the mfc-10 to l7 stand and all hardwired in so the stand gets moved with mic boom and all pedals bolted on all in one piece. (fast set-up)

Left to right on the floor:
Thats master volume ped--mfc-10 and 2 sustain peds bolted to a metal bar.

Hope you enjoy it.

Cheers......pose
