VA76 sound from speakers - 11/29/03 01:39 AM

Hello other Roland Va76 users,

I am very happy with my VA76.
It sounds great and i like the Variphrase.

But i have one problem.
After playing for a while my speakers start to give a droning noise.
It is very dominant.
When i move the Power cable at the back of the keyboard it sometimes reduces but most of the time gets worse. My dealer has send it to Roland for repair.
But i have the same problem again after a week.
Does anyone had the same problem?
And how has it been solved?
My PA system should not be the problem.

Please reply,

Gerard

Gerard,
Does the noise come trough your PA speakers too? You should shut off the VA speakers and just listen to the signal through a PA to see if the problem is in the Roland speakers/amp or the internal sound engine.

UD knows the VA76 does not have speakers !!!!!

GvRoemburg. Connect headphones only to the VA and listen if you still get the problem.

Make sure you don`t have any(unbalanced)audio cables near transformers, that will cause noise.

Hello Claudiu,
Sorry for my English. It's not my native language.
I’ll try to describe this to you.

In my case the major problem was with the AC Socket.
You could move it. And by moving it the sound got worse/terrible.
It has been fixed by Roland.
I sometimes still have a little noise. The cables I use with my amplifier are connected with the plugs for the output 1 sockets. The connection between them gets corroded a little. This is the cause for that.

I hope I have been of help to you.

Gerard van Roemburg

By the way, did you try the advices i got from the other members?
