Hi!
As you know I have roland e-50 and I have question (maybe stupid because I am not very experienced in keyboard-pc connection). So when I am in USB-MIDI mode together with my pc can I record my live play in mp3 format???Or how??
Thank you :-)

NO,
You record your song into a sequencer software in your computer that will save to WMA or MP3. I still use Cakewalk Pro 9 for that.

If you wish to record your live-performance on the PC, simply connect the LINE OUT of the E-50 to the LINE IN of your PC and use recording software.

The USB connection is used to transfer data (styles, songs, etc) and MIDI-signals to and from the PC.

You are most likely using a 1/8" stereo plug into your computer...You have to use both left and right inputs to your E50..not doing so will lose half of the stereo track[only left or right side]..

I am feeding cakewalk deluxe Pro Audio in the computer from the E 80 using the USB port and recording midi.
