VA-3 tone link to MIDI song

Hi guys,

I have a VA-3, and I'm not succeeding in keeping the tone of the keyboard "un-linked" from track 4 of a MIDI song. I uncheck the LINK button at the panel but every time I PLAY the song from the beginning, the LINK buttom returns checked and the keyboard sets its tone to MIDI song track 4 tone. What I'm doing wrong?

When you turn off a link,it has to be saved to a performance. I set up a performance for sequence play with the proper transpose and part selections I want to play live along with a sequence. I also set the controlls as well as link settings.. Then save and name as my sequence play performance...Fran PS: If you set the link off in free panel it will revert back to the factory setting when you play a sequence..
