Is Genos 2 61 coming out this year ?

Finally my dream comes true what I am dream of because Yamaha Genos with 61 keys.

Wishful thinking.
This is fake news, and the box pictures has been at the web for some time now.
If you look at the fonts / letters used at the box, you'll se it is bad work....
Also been a topic at PSR forum, and no one doubt that it is fake.

But, for those who are Korg enthusiasts, there is something going on in the Korg world.
Both pics, specs and videos linked at Korg forum seems to be very real. Think the 'rabbit' will be out off the box in not too long.
The rumours say it will be 88, 76 and 61 keys versions, but that remains to see........

I’m still a little confused as to why a 61 is needed when the weight drop is so massive from the Tyros line to the Genos’s.

A 76 Genos weighs less than than a 61 Tyros.

Even if you only occasionally play piano, a 61 will not cut it. And even if it is occasional, there’s going to be times when you’d like a little more room one side or another of a split sound. I am unsure if the Genos will do a three way split (but my G70 did) and that’s something that is almost impractical on a 61.

But I remember, back when early Tyros’s were only available as 61’s, most people said the weight was the main issue about using a 76. That’s pretty much a thing of the past (although a 76 PA4x is still a hefty 36 lbs but still nothing on the 45 lbs G70!).

A 76 Genos is only about 4 lbs heavier than a 61 PA4X. It’s looking like the old reasons don’t really apply any more…
