He is playing the piano plus a Midi or backing track.
He is not pretending to play anything else.
Doesn't look fake to me.

I can't tell either, If he is using Tyros 4;s drums they sound damn good. I wish there was a way to know for sure. I love that song. -charley

I would say he is using a foot pedal to signal the midi file to chime in on time for him.
