There's a guy in Kentucky who is saying he is trying to produce a "feel good" concert featuring "the best of Kentucky". Not sure whether he is trying to sell it to a local media outlet or distribute it as a Blog or similar internet production.
He has asked me to be the music director....no pay. He is saying he will have 100 performers over a 24 hour period.
Now the disgusting catch. He has contacted several of my well-known friends and asked for their participation...pro bono.
But, he is asking for a $50.00 a song fee for production costs from each of the other acts...and he is taking anyone and everyone with $50 bucks.
Net, he will pocket$10,000.00. But, he is also trying to sell endorsement spots (a brief interview with business who will help).
The net is he and many other jerks are trying to profit from the virus.
That's awful.
He's trying to guilt me into participating (lots of single acts who need someone to back them).
