Well, old Neil's done it. He's reworked the words to one of the most played, most sung tunes of my career .... take a listen! This is how we'll do it from now on ... probably.

Music will prevail. People need it. We will find a way to give it to them. We MUST find a way.

No doom and gloom here. I'm optimistic. Everyone EVERYWHERE will have to change something. I know it'll be different, but change is inevitable.

Quite likely, but then some day someone will say "remember when that crazy virus hit all over the world?" ...

Re: new normal ... - 03/23/20 10:09 AM

My son wrote a poignant PSA, and posted it to facebook. He's my voice of reason.

"The only thing that spreads more efficiently than this virus is fear. Everyone needs to give it a rest with the over sharing of their favorite news source’s spin. Somehow people who are on lockdown in their homes have taken it upon themselves to share an unending stream of “reports” on the state of the world outside. That’s not your job. There’s plenty of information available online without your involvement. So you can all stand down and stop playing wannabe social media news correspondents. With few exceptions, it’s not your area of expertise. Maybe try being an expert in keeping your personal fears to yourself and not freaking everyone else out with information that may or may not be factual, accurate, biased, or relevant. (Also, feel free to disagree with this, but if you keep it up I’m just going to snooze you for 30 days.)"

Let's all be positive, and post helpful, uplifting things as much as possible!

Tony do you think if this is ever finally over... Will this happen everytime there is a virus event world wide...
911 changed our lives ... Now I'm afraid this too..

Re: new normal ... - 03/23/20 01:20 PM

Yes, our lives will change - hopefully for the better with countries working together to resolve global issues of all kinds ... Whether that happens or not will totally depend on the people on this Earth ...

As for any 'global' type of virus, perhaps steps will be taken sooner to prevent such wide spread contamination ...

PS:as I've said, I prefer to think on the positive side ...

Me 4.

Someone warned us here yesterday, worst place to be if you’re stuck at home, is to be on Twitter , Facebook etc , reading gloom and doom. If you can’t stay away, at least try and find POSITIVE posts, obviously they do exist.

Donny, you’ll worry yourself into an early grave.

Love this song

This will go on for many months...
My cousin in Italy was infected and just was taken off the ventilator after 5 days and is in ICU breathing on his own again...
So happy for him.
Stay home..
. Stay safe.

Re: new normal ... - 03/23/20 02:16 PM

Someone over at one of the keyboard forums posted this, and I thought it was worth repeating.

"What this virus has brought home to me is how precarious our existence as a species is, and ultimately how insignificant our spats with each other are. I mean, a puny respiratory bug is taking us out like flies and making us soil our pants in dread. And I’m betting that there are stronger ones just waiting on their cue in future. At the very least, just hope all this instills some humility in us.".

Good advice.

My eldest daughter is an Ob/Gyn and a colleague, an Epidemiologist, wrote this in his blog. Bit of a lengthy read, but well reasoned and informative.

Regarding that Porn Star's offer; I can see the headlines now:
