Question re: SX900 - 02/12/20 03:00 PM
Been reading past threads on the 900. I thought I heard that some things cannot be saved to a song - such as octave change?
Is there anything that cannot be saved? I know that octave change in my departed MX61 would not save and that was a royal pain.
Thoughts appreciated, or little gripes too

Zuki, You can change and save the octave on right and left hands.
I think you have rewrite the style to change the octave within the style.

Zuki.... Will you be happy with the much lighter Key feel on sx900 then you are used to with the Pa3x now? I just added a Tc helicon perform vk to my sx700 rig because the sx900 VH2 is sub par in so many ways for vocal harmony..

Hi Zuki,
You might get more definitive answers over on the Yamaha forum if you have a number of questions.

Jim, you can save an octave change using the registration feature.

Hi Zuki,
I’m finding my p121/sx900 a brilliant combination.
I have mine connected via my laptop, so that I can use my p121 as a controller
( of sorts). I hadn’t realised how much I missed playing fully weighted keys till I bought the p121.
Be a good idea if you could actually try an sx before deciding.
You seem to have been very happy with the pa3x.
Personally I haven’t missed my PA3x or even my Pa4x , the Yamaha styles suit what I want to play, much better.
Thought I would miss the style editing functions on the korg, but with a bit of checking round, discovered I can do pretty much the same stuff on the psr , albeit via software.
The best function for me so far , are the sx registrations. Wouldn’t be able to play my p121/sx combo without them.
Really depends on why you want to swap.
