Bachus do you use a Yamaha MD-BT01 to connect your iPad Pro to your keyboard and if so is there any latency using this method?

Kind of, rather busy in real life...
I connect my ipad directly over USB for midi.. to my keyboards..
I have a usb switch (powered) connected to the lightning of my ipad
I also have a pro-audio interface connected (NI komplete audio 6) to my keys for audio in and out.
I don’t experience any lag..
I am not using the yamaha part..

Hi Frans,
I did try connecting my p121 as controller to my sx 900 via iPad and Midiflow app.
iPad connected to p121 via lightning adapter, sx900 via bt 01.
I think it felt like there was just the very slightest tinge of latency when using p121 to play piano sounds on sx900, which I don’t get when I use my laptop as interface, and just plug in the 2 USB cables.
The laptop set up just felt a bit more responsive, if that makes any sense.
I did try connecting my p121 as controller to my sx 900 via iPad and Midiflow app.

Just connect a powered usb hub to the lightning port and then both keyboards over usb..fast usb connections and no lag...

Thanks Rikki so the bt 01 gives some latency. Good to know. I think Bachus has the best solution.

The powered USB hub sounds like a great option, heard it mentioned on Yamaha forum also, so good to know it does work.
Sheer laziness , haven’t gotten round to checking out powered USB hubs yet, didn’t actually know what they were referring too. Rather embarrassing .haha
