Mary's Boy Child

Mary's Boy Child - 12/11/19 04:46 PM

In the spirit of Christmas, I recorded this song a few years ago mainly from memory of the Harry Belafonte rendition on one of my old 33-1/3 albums. I always enjoyed hearing his many songs and tried to learn as many as possible. Here's my rendition of Mary's Boy Child recorded as a one shot recording with no edits using the S-050's onboard recorder during a Christmas party at an assisted living center close to home.

Keep in mind that I don't have a religious bone in my body, but I absolutely loved playing Christmas songs and still do.

Merry Christmas everyone,

Hi Gary,
That was beautiful. Nice backing.

Loved Harry Belafonte. Banana Boat Song, especially Island in the sun.

Thanks Rikki, Island In The Sun was among my Belafonte favorites as well. I performed it regularly when I was working. Here's a link to Island In The Sun

All the best,
