My Pa4X 4/4 Ballad converted to my SX900 - 12/10/19 09:28 PM

Hi,
decided to convert an old Korg i2 piano ballad which I modified for my pa4x a few months ago across to the sx900.

Fortunately I had the foresight to save it as a midi file before I sold the korg.

Decided to try and convert it across the same way as I did my psr to korg conversions (except in reverse ) using my old XG Works sequencer.

Proved to be a bit more of a challenge, but I think it works ok.

attached copy of the style,
a snippet of auld lang syne ( my playing leaves a lot to be desired, only learnt it this morning, progressively got worse, instead of better, so left it at snippet haha)
and a quick play thru of the style itself.

May work on other psr's as well.

Rikki, Great job on playing the song...that style does go real well with it! Curious, are any of the factory styles in SX900 similar for use with that song?

Thank you Donny.
I’ll check into it if I decide to do any more styles. At the moment it was really only an experiment to see if my method of converting would work for psr.

Thank you Zuki, Randy and Mitch,
it was really only the style I was trying to share, just thought I’d keep the tune short and sweet , before too many bloopers kept in haha.

Thank you for the kind words.

Thank you Lee,
Not sure about similar as far as the piano goes, but pretty certain there would be a factory style that would suit Auld Lang Syne. I really don’t have problems trying to find styles to suit.

Basically had to get it out of my system to see if my old method of converting for Korg, ( using xg works) could be adapted to work for psr. I doubt I’d bother doing anymore Korg conversions across to psr, as there is no shortage of psr styles that work for the songs I would like to play.
Might try a couple of the old Biab Jazz styles that I did for the korg, they were simple
and different to what’s on keyboards or turn the 4/4 piano tracks into multi pads.
More so, hoping to use XG Works as style / Multi-pad editor for editing that I can’t do on sx itself.

The 4/4 Ballad is one I used for a number of songs on the korg,
In Dreams, I Can’t Stop Loving You, plus a few more, so it was my test case to see if I could convert it.

Auld Lang Syne, was the only tune in my Xmas album, that really worked with the style. So quick brush up and decided to use a snippet as a demo. As soon as I hit the record button, my mind goes blank, and I make mistake after mistake. Haha

Basically wanted to prove to myself that what I used to do with the korg , I can also do with a psr. Haha
