Hi , not overly impressed with the demo. It’s a very expensive piano, why wouldn’t you be featuring the piano with styles.
Why would you spend that sort of money, when you could buy an sx900 or a Genos, if the type of sounds you normally use are guitars or strings etc.
Don’t quite get it.
My old Technics dealer used to demo the arranger piano’s, wow. Full piano mode, and off he’d go, runs , fills. all with real-time backing. Made you want to buy one. ( or 2 or 3) haha
My 2 cents, I have a CVP 307 that I primarily use for playing and practicing piano. The 307 pianos sound terrific, I don't really need all those arranger features offered on the 809 they are nice but since the CVPs are really used more in the home than for gigs, it's a very expensive choice.
Hi, I think as much as I would love to have an arranger piano, the temptation would always be there to want to upgrade it, to get newer arranger functions. Not as easy to do as upgrading keyboards.
Inclined to think , if I went upmarket from my p121, I’d be inclined to get a clp, rather than a cvp and hook them up via midi. A piano can sound good for years, keyboards get outdated. Neighbours clp was 15 years old, still sounded great.
It's not that expensive....look at what some of us spent on Home Organs.....And that was a long time ago in most cases...at least for me. I never bought one, but a dealer back in IN near me was selling Lowries for well over $30k.
If I was a true piano player and wanted the style stuff too..I would buy one, as playing a semi weighted arranger keyboard misses the mark a long way to a pianist.
