Using macros in modifying styles - 12/03/19 05:26 AM
This is how I use Macros to take care of tedious tasks in Win 10 - everything you see here is done by the Macro - Now imagine doing this all for 200 times in one session?

Hi Henni,
sorry, quite don’t understand what you’re getting at.
Not familiar with the software you’re using.
The only software I’ve tried to date for converting one of my favourite Korg styles , is xg works.
I have style magic, but haven’t gotten round to learning it yet.

Hi Rikki,
Normally, it would take ten to fifteen interactions from me do do what is shown here. That is PER STYLE which makes for a lot of work.
However, here I make use of a "macro" (a "virtual" Henni). All I do is select the next style. Then I select "play" on the macro which does the rest. It opens Yamaha's MegaEnhancer from within MidiPlayer, scan the style, creatwe MegaVoices where ever possible, save the results as a midi file, Then back to MidiPlayer where it saves the new style.
All I have to do now is select the next style and select "play" on the macro again and this whole process is once more repeated.
Regards,
Henni

That is pretty awesome Henni, saves you a lot of the tedious , repetitive work.
I gather you created “ Virtual Henni”?, ( good name) haha.
if I remember correctly , did you mention you were a computer programmer, or something along those lines.
