Yamaha style conversion modified for E-A7 - 11/10/19 11:06 AM

I had to fix the bass lines for intro/endings.. Also selected better sounds for the E-A7.. Here is a simple demo to show the style... I like it smile

Good one Fran,

just out of interest , how do you convert them for a Roland?

Rikki I use Styleworks, and then make changes I see fit, like instruments, or add or change bass lines etc.

I use style composer on the E-A7 and G70.. but need to use the G70 sequencer to add detail changes.

Thank you Fran.
Wasn’t sure if maybe Roland had added something like korgs importing / exporting midi files for style editing..

I remember Diki used to rave about Roland make up Tools ? for editing styles.
Had a friends Va7 , for a short while, but my style converting / editing days go way back to the g800, everything done via midi recording.

One day I might actually get to see a Roland again.

If you're talking G70 and you happen to be in America, you can either stop by Fran's house OR The Smithsonian; it's right next to the Woolly Mammoth exhibit.

Wish I'd brought my EA7 home Sat. night. I have the jazz style and all the Ketron conversions to try. Maybe I'll go pick it up Tuesday.

Rikki the G70 also has the SMF to style conversion feature.. It was added in version 2 or version 3...

It still can run with the best. grin

Hi Fran,
Must admit I had wondered why I hadn’t come across the g70, I’d owned e80, at least a couple of the RA modules, g800, va7, just checked the date, we’d moved from city to the coast. No access to Roland.

If forget about Technics KN5k, the G70 is the arranger I regret most that I've sold.
Yes, it is heavy as a cruiceships anchor, and a nightmare to drag around, but it's build like a tank.
Also wonderful keybed, real nice to play at. (In fact SD1 keys was similiar)
Not 'plastic fantastic' box as Genos, but solid as a rock.
It's like Fran, everlasting. 😁

Dave, none of my sailboat anchors were as heavy as the G-70 (thank goodness). wink

Ha Ha Ha! Probably excess US Navy band equipment being put to good use! I know the Navy is into recycling their stuff, but this is pushing them to a new level of innovation!

Hi Mitch , all you need is a music clip of My Heart will Go On, and looks ready to sail.

Great Pic. Haha
