It was just a dumb accounting glitch at the hosting company where Synth Zone is hosted. Even though the monthly fee had been paid they pulled the power. Got online with customer support this afternoon and all is turned back on now.
Coincidentally it happened the same time Russia started testing its new system of “stable internet” which is supposedly designed to protect a national segment of the internet from “outside threats”, but as some people fear this is just a tool to apply censorship when the time comes. Although I was almost sure that SZ’s problem didn’t have anything to do with that (other sites kept working fine), it was still a rather impressive “preview” of what may happen.
Thank you for taking care of it. It’s nice to have it back.
It's difficult to pay the bills sometimes in any business... and this is a business of sorts... but, it's even tougher when the bill has been paid and some clerk decides it hasn't. LOL!
Thanks for all you do for us. I was so glad to see it back "on-line" yesterday.
