Probably youngsters between the ages of 8 and 14 as Christmas gifts from their parents. Just a guess, though.

I would not be so sure about it being a toy.
We see that today there’s a tendency to make keyboards more portable and Casio follows it.
This one has 61 keys, a pitch bend wheel and a parameter dial wheel, which are attributes of a middle of the line keyboard. If this one has decent acoustic and electric pianos, it is already rather usable instrument with additional features like styles and patterns. Supposedly for an affordable price.
