Just curious... are you replacing this one with the 12" model? I've thought about an iPad several times. Not sure 10" is large enough for easy reading of scanned sheet music.

Hi Ted, yes I did think about it getting the larger iPad..
I don't need it to read charts and this 10" is more then enough & super clear with the retina display,
if you need to read the occasional lyrics, etc,..
great storage with 128G too, I mostly use my 15" laptop for everything,..it's less then a month old if anyone is interested.

Just curious Donny, are you going to stay with only the laptop then?
I am slowly getting to learn my new iPad, and I really do love it . . . Considered the bigger screen, but for right now I am rather satisfied with it . . .

Donny, Sorry to read the iPad isn’t doing the job for you. I never leave home without mine, not only is it a great tool for my gigs/music but it’s an excellent too for what I do with photography, reading daily newspapers and of course SZ I’m using the 3rd generation iPad Pro 12.9 model.

Jill,.....I have always been a Laptop user musically for many years
IMO nothing compares to it navigationaly on stage the way I use it.....although I find the iPad very useful in other ways and many programs that are very useful like StageTraxx, Garage band, Netflix, etc,
it has it's place for certain needs.

I might try the 12.9 model..

The iPad on the left is for mixing DJ-style on breaks, the one on the right has a Karaoke program for my guests, and it feeds a monitor that they can see better. We all know people HATE to wear the proper eyewear in public, right? Then, there's the 4x screen that has all the bells and whistles I need to navigate this space station.

Oh yeah, that teeny-tiny mixer way off left mixes the two iPads into the main system for smooth fades, and no dead air.
