Tony, good job, it’s nice to see and hear one of our brothers here on SZ. The video must bring back some nice memories.

Keep playing, John C.

Sounds great Tony! It’s a treat to hear and see a fellow arranger keyboardist playing live. I wish more would post their work too. Thanks for sharing!

Sparky, I had no idea ... I was referring to the lighting etc. as someone else was trying to take some vids and the lighting was causing problems ...

Re: Tony Mads live - 07/02/19 02:03 PM

Larry, it's in Warren Township.
Sal, the guitar player, and I graduated in the same high school class, and later he played in the band we had in NY for 26 years ...
We've been doing this 50's gig for 5 years now, as part of Warren's Summer Concert series ...
Sparky was nice enough to stop by and stayed for the entire 2 hour show ... above and beyond the call of duty ... wink

Re: Tony Mads live - 07/05/19 11:30 AM

The stage arrives as an 18 wheeler trailer, then they raise one side and lower the floor ... The speakers are rolled off another truck on dollies and then hooked up to the 'roof' of the stage ...

Re: Tony Mads live - 07/05/19 12:19 PM

Really neat pictures Tony. Budweiser had a similar set-up at a couple fairs I played with bands. Everything was self-contained on a Semi-Trailer. Lights, gargantuan speakers, mics & mic stands with a snake that ran out to the mixing board with two sound techs and a follow spot. It really felt like the major leagues.
