I'm on my fourth Korg PA4X. So I guess I regretted selling it a couple of times.
I had one for a year or so and decided to sell it. Used a Yamaha for a little while and missed the Korg, so sold it and got another 4X.
Then I decided I would like the PA4X76 instead of the 61, so made that trade. Didn't like the 76 so traded it for another 61.
Actually I sold that too and have been using my friend's 4X for a year now. I suppose I'll eventually buy it from him, but not until he asks!! smile
That makes five of them doesn't it.
During that time I also purchased a Roland EA7, which I still have and like a lot. Also a Ketron SD7 when it first came out and wasn't ready for prime time, and finally Ketron SD40 which was excellent, but I opted to stay with the Korg, and most likely will unless a successor comes out that seems better.

(1) Roland GW8. Interesting keyboard, decent sound. As a pure arranger it's inferior to the BK5 and E50. But-it's the lightest self-contained keyboard with Roland Chord Intelligence and style revoicing. Compact and portable for impromptu gigs.
(2) MicroArranger. Didn't like the tiny keys and tinny built-in speakers. But-it was small and light; better facility for recording backing sequences than newer Korgs due to a pernicious software bug in the later models. Newer isn't always better!
(3) PSR-S950. Upgraded to T5 because I wanted the larger screen, mark and jump for song playback, and a better keybed. In retrospect, the S950 paired with my Roland on a two-tier A-frame stand would have been a more capable combo than the T5 and BK-7m.

I'd rather watch for what is to come in the future..
every time I go backwards I end up dumping it quick
realizing what a mistake that was.

Some arranger keyboards I wish I kept, not because they are better then what I now have, but there were features that I did like about each of them.

Roland G1000, E60, and BK9.

Ketron X1 and SD7.

Farfisa G7.

What you won't find on my list are Casio, Korg, or Yamaha arrangers that I have owned.

By no means would I want any of the above to replace my G70 and EA7.

But if I just wanted to still have them taking up space.... that is my list. smile

Sold two Korg Pa4x keyboards. I now have a Pa1000 because of weight. I am waiting on what succeeds the Yamaha S975.

For sentimental memories, the Kn7000. Sold four Kn7000 – bought one just recently; it is not working, but I have not given up.

Maybe the G70 I owned briefly. I must be happy today because I don’t find myself wanting any other arranger keyboard than what I have today.

Believe it or not but the PSR 500. I'm country all the way and it had a pedal steel guitar sound I have not been able to replicate. I also have had a couple of synths I wish I hadn't gotten rid of like the Kog poly 61. Also had a neat little accompliment unit that I sold. A something xx50. Used tape cassettes to save songs on it.

General music SK 880, best 88 key arranger workstation ever released (in its time)
It was far far far ahead of its time. In a time GEM still focused on professional players..

I have to say that the sd40 that I got from Don is definitely a keeper. I like having volume control knobs and a big touch screen for controls. I’ve just scratched the service, but the sounds I’m hearing are very impressive.

So all in all...I don’t miss any of the Korg’s, Yamaha’s, or Rolands I’ve had in the past.

My Roland BK7M module. Waiting till they're discontinued so maybe I can get a blowout deal on a NOS unit.

Got a GW-8 from George years ago....still in the box.

I know...it's a sickness. Sits alongside a Roland 201 synth...never plugged in.

TAKE ME NOW! Also have a Korg Micro, which I have used for years.

R.

I guess great minds waste money alike (LOL). (My bad. When I blew the dust off the Roland, it was a GW-7.

Deane, I don’t know why, but I still have my Korg MicroArranger. The keyboard does so much for its size. I am enjoying my Pa1000, but the Pa4x is a lot better.

When you say " ... You wished you had kept", does that translate into "if given these boards right now, you would actually KEEP them this time around?

For me, it means I have nostalgic whims, and realize I may not have appreciated the keyboard enough when I sold it, but the page has already turned and I wouldn't actually go back.

Love my old boards, and loved the Roland G70, Technics KN7000, even the older Yamaha 9000pro but glad they had their day and moved on.

Hi,
Probably my Kn7000. Probably not so much the keyboard itself, but the fact that Technics keyboards were no longer made.
